Bulbs are fool proof and easy
Bulbs have an internal food source.
The term bulb is given to plant types that have an underground storage organ. This internal organ acts as a food source, giving the bulb everything it needs to sprout and bloom at the appropriate time. Because of their ability to store food, bulbs are able to withstand adverse conditions, such as cold temperatures.
In addition, the internal food storage allows bulbs to go through a dormant period and bloom year after year. You can plant them, and with very little maintenance, enjoy!
Split the bulb in half and you can clearly see how the bulb stores energy.
